2013 Directors Election of the Burley Co-op Board of Directors
Lexington, KY (October 9, 2013) – The Burley Co-op completed its annual director election process with all incumbent Directors retaining their seats. They were elected by acclamation as a result of no challengers.
Tim Tarter of Nancy, Kentucky is the Director for District 18 which includes Adair, Casey, Clinton, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell and Wayne Counties. Mr. Tarter was elected to the Board in October of 2007; this will be his third term.
Edward Warren (Eddie) of Richmond, Kentucky is Director over District 19. This includes Garrard, Jackson, Laurel, Lincoln, Madison and Rockcastle Counties. Mr. Warren was elected to the Board in October of 1998; this will be his sixth term.
Joe Luckett of Lebanon, Kentucky is returning to District 20. This district includes Bullitt, Larue, Marion, Nelson and Washington Counties. Mr. Luckett was elected to the Board in October of 2011; this will be his second term.
Michael Slaughter (Mike) of Horse Cave, Kentucky is returning to District 21. This includes Edmonson, Grayson, Green, Hardin, Hart, Meade and Taylor Counties. Mr. Slaughter was elected to the Board in October in 1995; this will be his seventh term.
Halleck Adkins (Cappy) of Salt Rock, WV will be returning to District 22. This includes the State of West Virginia. Mr. Adkins was elected to the Board in October, 2001; this will be his fifth term.
Mark Turner of Livermore, Kentucky will return to District 23. This includes Breckinridge, Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union, and Webster Counties. Mr. Turner was elected to the Board in October in October, 2004. This will be his fourth term.
Kevin Rawlings will represent the State of Missouri as the Director at Large. Mr. Rawlings’ was elected to the Board in October of 2009. This will be his fourth term.
Patrick Raines (Pat) will also be returning to his Director at Large position. Mr. Raines will represent the State of Ohio. He was elected to the Board in October of 1995; this will be his eighteenth term.
All Director’s took the oath of office and were sworn into service.
In addition officer elections were held and all officers returned to their positions.
President: Pat Raines, Vice President: Eddie Warren, Secretary: Robert Reed Bush, and Treasurer: Al Pedigo.
